FSD Africa is funded by <\/span><b>UK Aid from the UK Government<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The organisation works to reduce poverty through a <\/span><b>market systems development<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> approach, meaning that FSD Africa seeks to tackle the structural and underlying causes of poverty by improving the way financial market systems function.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At FSD Africa, programme design is intended to address systemic challenges within African financial markets, with the aim of driving large-scale and long-term change. Its interventions are designed from the ground up to ensure that African financial markets better serve those who need them most today and well beyond the lifespan of its programmes.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Headquartered in <\/span><b>Nairobi<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, FSD Africa\u2019s team of more than <\/span><b>35 financial sector experts<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> leads ambitious programmes spanning <\/span><b>28 countries<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> across the continent.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FSD Africa is part of a family of <\/span><b>9 financial sector deepening programmes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, or <\/span><b>FSD programmes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, operating across sub-Saharan Africa and collectively known as the <\/span><b>FSD Network<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
