It employs approximately <\/span><b>10,000 staff<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> across more than <\/span><b>120 offices worldwide<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Its mission is to significantly reduce poverty and promote shared prosperity.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It provides developing countries with <\/span><b>low-interest loans<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>interest-free credits<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b>grants<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. These resources are intended to support investment across a wide range of sectors, including <\/span><b>education<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>health<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>public administration<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>infrastructure<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>financial sector and private sector development<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>agriculture<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b>environmental and natural resource management<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, among others.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>World Bank Group<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is composed of <\/span><b>five institutions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> governed by its <\/span><b>188 member states<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><b>International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which lends to <\/span><b>middle-income countries<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>creditworthy poorer countries<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">;<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><b>International Development Association (IDA)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which provides <\/span><b>interest-free loans, credits and grants<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to the world\u2019s poorest countries.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Together, the <\/span><b>IBRD<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>IDA<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> form the <\/span><b>World Bank<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The other institutions of the World Bank Group are:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><b>International Finance Corporation (IFC)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which provides loans, equity financing and advisory services to stimulate private sector investment in developing countries;<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><b>Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which offers investors guarantees against losses associated with non-commercial risks in developing countries;<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><b>International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which provides international mechanisms for conciliation and arbitration of investment-related disputes.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ul>\r\n<!-- \/wp:post-content -->","protected":false},"featured_media":94239,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":true},"class_list":["post-94285","partenaire","type-partenaire","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>World Bank | UMOA-Titres<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"noindex, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"World Bank | UMOA-Titres\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"The World Bank Group was established in 1944 and is headquartered in Washington.
