{"id":95276,"date":"2022-11-10T12:14:04","date_gmt":"2022-11-10T11:14:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/umoatitres.com\/umoa-titres-sengage-dans-la-vaccination-infantile\/"},"modified":"2026-08-19T19:12:35","modified_gmt":"2026-08-19T17:12:35","slug":"umoa-titres-commits-to-childhood-vaccination","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/umoatitres.com\/en\/umoa-titres-commits-to-childhood-vaccination\/","title":{"rendered":"UMOA-Titres Commits to Childhood Vaccination"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of its <strong>CSR policy<\/strong>, <strong>UMOA-Titres<\/strong> entered into a partnership with the <strong>AFRIVAC Foundation<\/strong> from <strong>2016 to 2019<\/strong> to support <strong>vaccine independence in Africa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>AFRIVAC Foundation<\/strong> aims to prepare the ground for vaccine independence in Africa by establishing a strong <strong>inter-African public-private partnership<\/strong> for child vaccination. More specifically, AFRIVAC seeks to organise, encourage and transparently collect private-sector contributions towards financing children\u2019s vaccination through the purchase of vaccine doses via duly authorised organisations such as <strong>UNICEF<\/strong>, which supply vaccines to <strong>GAVI-supported countries<\/strong> and are able to provide AFRIVAC with the prices applied to those countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through this partnership, <strong>UMOA-Titres<\/strong> committed itself to a sustainable development path by supporting the financing of vaccination programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A number of actions were implemented during this period, as detailed below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Action 1<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two organisations agreed on a <strong>memorandum of understanding<\/strong>. This agreement established the framework for the partnership\u2019s actions in order to achieve the objectives set. For <strong>UMOA-Titres<\/strong>, this memorandum reflected its determination to contribute to the financing of social development in Africa, and more specifically in the <strong>WAEMU region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Action 2<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second action involved contributing to the production of a directory entitled <strong>KENEYA<\/strong>, intended for sale. This directory compiled by <strong>AFRIVAC<\/strong> lists healthcare professionals, ranging from doctors of all specialties to nurses and pharmacists, as well as suppliers of medical equipment and laboratories. This initiative responds to a lack of information when seeking a specialist or general practitioner. It therefore serves as a means of making medical information available and accessible to all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sensitive to this issue, <strong>UMOA-Titres<\/strong> agreed to provide support so that <strong>AFRIVAC<\/strong> could generate funds capable of financing its action. In this context, the management of UMOA-Titres also committed to distributing the directories internally and among its partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Action 3<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UMOA-Titres was one of <strong>AFRIVAC\u2019s key partners<\/strong> during the organisation of a <strong>fundraising dinner<\/strong> in support of children\u2019s vaccination. The theme of the dinner was <strong>\u201cImpact Investing\u201d<\/strong>, and its objectives were, first, to complement previous fundraising efforts in order to help finance revenue-generating projects dedicated to the purchase of vaccines alongside institutional partners, and secondly, to turn all dinner participants into <strong>social investors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This charity dinner accounted for <strong>half of AFRIVAC\u2019s annual results<\/strong> and complemented the annual contributions made by companies that had signed memoranda of understanding. As such, it became the <strong>Foundation\u2019s largest fundraising event<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This partnership with <strong>AFRIVAC<\/strong> is a contribution to saving lives and improving the well-being of our populations through the financing of vaccination.
