Discover the 2024 Ranking of Treasury Securities Specialists (SVTs)

Since the introduction of Treasury Securities Specialists (SVTs) on the government securities market in the WAEMU region, UMOA-Titres has published an annual ranking to assess the performance of approved institutions.

This assessment covers all of their missions, namely:

  • participation in auctions;
  • activity on the secondary market;
  • the quality of their relationship with national treasuries and UMOA-Titres.

For 2024, twenty-four (24) SVTs across the Union were assessed. They are composed of fifteen (15) banks and nine (9) brokerage and intermediation firms (SGIs).

The ranking is established on a 100-point scale, broken down as follows:

  • 50 points for participation in auctions;
  • 35 points for presence on the secondary market;
  • 15 points for quality of service.

Please find below the full 2024 overall ranking of SVTs on the WAEMU government securities market.

Reminder

The regional market for government securities issued by auction brings together several stakeholders involved in financing WAEMU Member States, including issuers, market intermediaries, investors and partners.

Among these intermediaries, certain banks and brokerage and intermediation firms (SGIs) hold the status of Treasury Securities Specialists (SVTs). They are approved by national treasuries as privileged partners, with specific obligations in return for exclusive benefits.

In accordance with the regulations in force, UMOA-Titres, in collaboration with national treasuries, carries out an annual assessment of SVT performance as part of a continuous effort to optimise the government securities market.
