2nd Sovereign Securities Forum (JTS 2024): The Secondary Market at the Heart of the Discussions

UMOA-Titres is organising the second edition of the Sovereign Securities Forum (JTS 2024) on 26 June 2024 at the Hôtel 2 Février in Lomé, Togo. This event forms part of the Institution’s efforts to strengthen understanding of the government securities market and how it operates.

JTS 2024 will be held under the overarching theme:

“Developing the Secondary Market: What Contribution Can Financial Market Infrastructures Make?”

This second edition, focused primarily on issues relating to the secondary market, represents an exceptional networking opportunity for experts and investors. It will also provide a valuable platform for market participants to gain a deeper understanding of:

  • the benefits and added value of a dynamic and deep secondary market; and
  • the value and importance of the role played by market intermediaries in structuring the secondary market for government securities.

The programme for the 2nd edition of the Sovereign Securities Forum will include:

  • a presentation by UMOA-Titres on the secondary market for government securities issued by auction;
  • a panel discussion on the theme: “Boosting the Secondary Market in WAEMU: What Contribution Can the Trading and Transaction Platform Make?”;
  • two masterclasses covering, respectively, pricing fixed income products and a demonstration of how the government securities market trading and transaction platform works.

Visit the website dedicated to the 2nd edition of the Sovereign Securities Forum for further details on the programme.
