The 2023 edition of the Government Securities Market Meetings, #REMTP2023, the annual conference dedicated to the WAMU sovereign debt market, will be held on 24, 25 and 26 January 2023 in Dakar, Senegal. The theme for this edition is:
“Investor Diversity and Government Securities Market Efficiency”
Like previous editions, which were widely acclaimed by market participants, the 2023 edition will provide an opportunity to discuss ways and means of broadening the investor base to include non-bank entities, as well as actions aimed at deepening the government securities market.
It will also provide an opportunity to present the 2023 issuance programme for government securities issued by auction to stakeholders in the regional debt market, while also discussing the strategic directions for the development of the government securities market.
REMTP 2023 is one of the flagship initiatives identified to strengthen the leadership of the government securities market and help position it as a genuine investment option for investors in general, and institutional investors in particular.
For the first time since 2020, REMTP 2023 will be held in person and will welcome more than 30 distinguished speakers from the regional and international financial market, as well as WAMU sovereign issuers. They will discuss the issues and challenges facing the regional sovereign debt market.
