The Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) is a specialised community financial institution. It is responsible for organising transactions involving securities, including equity instruments (shares) and debt instruments (bonds). It began operations in September 1998.
Its core missions are:

- listing and trading securities;
- publishing prices and stock market information;
- promoting and developing the securities market.
